About me
I’m Madeline (she/her), and I believe that every family deserves to feel informed, heard, and respected throughout pregnancy and during the birthing time. I’m so glad you’re considering hiring a doula–you will not regret it!
Like so many doulas, I first became obsessed with pregnancy and birth while preparing for the birth of my son! I devoured pregnancy + birth books, podcasts, and articles, and I felt so much joy and satisfaction in learning all I could to prepare for the marathon of birth. It was then that I developed a deep respect for the physiology of birth–the processes taking place in the body and mind during the birthing time are truly awe-inspiring.
I am a wedding florist May-October. I love the flow of seasonal work, and while I don’t put my floral design business on hold during the winter, it is so special to fill the slow season with the meaningful work of supporting families on their birth journeys.
Outside of flowering and doulaing, I spend most of my time with my lovely husband and our son, on a walk in our sweet town, dreaming about my next trip to the North Shore, sipping on an afternoon cappuccino, giving a little extra love to my 1890 fixer-upper home, sewing tiny clothing, and reading Reese’s Book Club’s latest pick.
I work with folks birthing in hospitals, birth centers, and their homes in Northfield, MN and the southern Twin Cities metro, with due dates November-April.
